Aesthetics
(and that's about it) These shoes look great, but are
far from practical. They are very difficult to get on,
due to the opening being so tight. Also, don't expect to
go outside much in them, because the middle of the sole
will touch anything that can raise more than a few
millimeters above ground level. You can't even walk
through the shallowest of puddles without getting your
instep wet. I have resorted to using them as lounging
shoes, or only wearing them when I know I will be on
dry, clean ground the entire day. Once you get them on,
though, they are some of the most snug, comfortable
slip-ons around. I guess it just depends on what you're
wearing them for.
